Yesterday was travel day. I set my alarm for 3:00 am. At 5:00 am there was a Lyft at my house ready to pick me up. I got to the airport and breezed through security with my TSA Clear. I was standing in front of my gate at 6:00 am. My flight did not depart until 8:12. After exchanging some text messages, I found my travel partner Dave, sitting at a bar top. This is when I learned that the E-Ticket said gate N2. When I got through security the electronic reader board was displaying N16. I started with a Bodizafa IPA from Georgetown Brewing. We went across the way to another spot. I got the pFriem Japanese Lager, and Dave had an IPA called Thunder Pussy.

We made our flight, and 4:30 hours later we were landing in Puerto Vallarta. We entertained the idea of drinking a beer, but we were not able to find a place. We decided to get our Uber. We were headed to a cute little beach town just north of PV called Sayulita. In Sayulita we found our lodging. Dave has a suite on the 3rd floor with a balcony. I got a cheeper little room on the top floor. It has one tiny window, a gas ranged, a refrigerator, a bed shower, and bano. It meets my needs quite nicely. The top patio of the building is just outside my door. Where there is a pool, and lounge chairs. Dave and I are petty sure we are the only folks staying in the building. I was feeling quite parched from the plain ride and needed hydration. We found a little grocery. They had 1 L bottles of Modelo Negra. It is one of my favorite local beers. I grabbed one, a sixer of Modelo Especial, and 2x 1.5 L bottles of water.

Back at our lodging, we stowed our beverages, and I started chugging water. It felt so good, I downed the whole 1.5 L. Then, I enjoyed an Especial while Dave took a dip in the pool. I was feeling a bit rough. At home I felt like I had a mild cold, but it had gone away Saturday morning. After the sleep deprivation, and plain ride. It was back in full force. I was starting to feel like I might get hangry if I did not eat soon. We found a little spot just crossed from our lodging. We ordered some Modelo Negra, Chips, and Guacamole. Dave got some tacos, and I got an steak Burrito. It was filled with rice, black beans, and Avocado (my favorite fruit). It was served with a side of potato wedges. We call them Jos, or Jo-Jos where I come from. Burritos are too damned big. They are too much food. However, it was so damned delicious I ate the whole thing. It will probably be my last burrito on the trip, but I needed to check that box on my list of food to eat.

After dinner we checked out a “brewery” and a couple pubs. We chatted up a cute lady bartender. She had a fun UK accent and was from a little town near London. I shared one of my favorite travel stories with her. The day uncle Jimmy got us lost in the Yorkshire Dales. She enjoyed my story as much as I enjoy telling it. We eventually found ourselves smoking a cigar. Dave had a brilliant idea. We should go put our feet in the ocean.

We took our liters down to the beach, and went ankle deep into the serf. After we satisfied our oceanic desires. We stashed our liters, and bellied up to a little beach bar top. There were about 12 of us total. I think there may have been one lady, but the rest were dudes. They were all local Spanish speakers. Dave, and me were the only 2 Gringos. I believe Dave had some tequila. The locals were drinking Corona, and Pacifico out of tiny 200 mL bottles. (For brother Bob, that is about 7 oz) I had 3 of them with limes stuffed in the top. The locals were welcoming of us at their bat top, and we exchanged Saluds. Our Spanish speaking skills are limited, as was their English. Once our thirst was sated. We recovered our stashed beers, and made our way back towards our lodging. We spotted a spit of Al Pastor roasting, and Dave decided we needed tacos. He got two, and I only got one. I was not really hungry, but I figured I would regret not having one. Holy shit! It was delicious! I found some spicy green salsa to put on it. Folks that know me, know I like it spicy. The place was called Tal Ivan.

Today we are going to go on a hike to a little town north of us called San Pancho. I will hit up a pharmacy for some fine grade Mexican Pseudoephedrine.

So, I made it this far without objectifying any ladies. I really like this town. The local girls are mostly brown skinned and beautiful. Then, there are lots of white girls. They are typically tattooed, fit, and 30ish. I am a fan of all the cute ladies of every ethnicity, but I do have an extra soft spot for tattooed white girls. Last night while I ate my burrito. There was a brown skinned beauty just acrossed from me. The table was mostly speaking English, but I did hear some Spanish too. I am guessing they were California kids. She was clad in short-shorts. She had thicc thighs and a plump butt. I did my best to not creep on her too hard but she was right there. My goodness what a delight. I’ll probably be taking my shirt off today. So, I will give the ladies a chance to partake in my masculine beauty….
